Aleksandra Gowin is a Polish film director and editor. Born in 1986, she graduated in film editing from the Leon Schiller National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź. As an editor, she collaborated with award-winning Polish directors, such as Tomasz Wasilewski (Floating Skyscrapes– Karlovy Vary IFF, Tribeca FF; In the Bedroom – Mannheim-Heidelberg IFF) or Grzegorz Jaroszuk (Kebab i horoskop). She directed several award-winning short feature films, among them Stwór and Druciki which were successful on the local market and were picked up by national and pay TV (Canal+). Her first feature film (directed in collaboration with Ireneusz Grzyb) – Little Crushes – had its world premiere at the Rotterdam IFF 2014 (Bright Future section). Aleksandra Gowin was awarded with the Jan Machulski Polish Independent Film Award at the Koszalin Debut Film Festival, The Young and Cinema.
